Next Saturday, we'll ask the question "What is mutual ministry?...at New Song...in the diocese of Iowa?"  We'll look at the following ideas and activities:

• servant leadership  (is that an oxymoron?)
• design a rector:  mutual ministry Mr. Potatohead
• discernment, or "Where is God calling you?" 

Assignment to prepare:

Please take some time to think about the following questions, jotting some notes down to help you remember.  If the answers become less and less clear as you think about them, that is sort of the idea...

• What is the difference between the role of a priest or deacon in a traditional Episcopal church and a mutual ministry Episcopal church?
• What is ‘ordination’?  What does it mean?
• How is an ordained person in a mutual ministry congregation different from a lay person?
