Assignment to prepare:

• Faith Study: Having gotten a sense of the faith journey of others, we now turn to our own journey in and into faith Please spend some time reviewing your thoughts and then complete the sentence: To believe in God means to me... and if you desire, to share it when we meet again.

• Baptismal Study (see worksheet below):  Read the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). What are your general impressions? Where (an example or two) does it coincide with the value system we experience in our world (an example or two)? Not coincide (an example or two)?  Using the Sermon on the Mount worksheet provided, please share the particular saying you chose.

• Outline what it is calling the Christian to do/be;
• What it might cost him/her; what its benefits could be;
• Find, if you can, a news item which supports/contradicts the saying.
• Also, do you desire to be Baptized? /Confirmed? /Received into the Episcopal Church? /Reaffirmed?
