The Book of Common Prayer—history and contents

In the Baptismal Covenant we are asked, "Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?" (BCP 305), and "Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God? Do you renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God?" (BCP 302).

Ask yourselves: .

Where do we see evil in our society and its institutions?
What is our responsibility in confronting evil?
How might we celebrate our differences?
